Representatives of the Crimean tourism industry were awarded for the presentation of achievements at the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia» at VDNKh

The exhibition became the most striking event of the year, which united the entire country, showed all the achievements of the regions, and we became part of this large-scale movement. Each of you made your personal contribution to the success of Crimea, contributed your experience, your work, your skills to this common cause. I would like to proudly note the work of the Decade of Tourism, which was carried out by the employees of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea together with the administrations of municipalities and the tourism industry— said Sergei Ganzii.

Presenting the awards, the Minister noted that, thanks in part to the active participation and united work of industry representatives, the Republic of Crimea received high marks, and the Crimean stand, among more than 130 stands at the exhibition and forum, entered the top 10 in the popular online vote, taking the palm in all 11 nominations evaluating the work of the expositions.

Among the guests of the stand in Moscow, 18 trips for two to vacation in Crimea were raffled off. Agro-industrial enterprises were actively working, showing the uniqueness of the peninsula, health resort enterprises held consultations with spa doctors, a unique concert program of the Crimean State Philharmonic and the Yevpatoriya Center of Culture and Leisure was presented.

The guests of the Crimean stand were taught by Artek counselors to do exercises, shoot «wow-videos», save dolphins, study the «ABCs of Crimea», understand Crimean cosmetics, draw with wine on torchon and on sea pebbles with chalk and felt-tip pens. Thousands of VDNKh guests learned about the lavender sea of ​​Crimea and received lavender bouquets and other memorable gifts as a keepsake.

Over the 248 working days of the exhibition, 25 thematic decades prepared by all municipalities of the republic were held at the stand of the Republic of Crimea. More than 12.5 thousand bright events were organized and held for the guests of the stand, each of which told about the achievements of Crimea over 10 years. The Decade of Crimean Tourism was held from December 9 to 21, and on December 15, the Day of the Region of the Republic of Crimea was held at the exhibition.
