Rescue operation on the south coast mountain Ayu-Dag. The tourist was evacuated by boat
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the evening of July 4 (at 19:25), the control panel of the emergency department on duty received a signal that a man, walking along the south coast mountain Ayu-Dag, went down to the coastline along a steep scree slope and could not climb back on his own. The help of rescuers is needed in his search and evacuation from a hard-to-reach mountainous area.
In order to promptly provide assistance to the victim, employees of the emergency department decided to evacuate him by water. The duty shift of the Alushta emergency rescue team «CRIMEA-SPAS» went to the search area on a motorboat.
Having established visual contact with a man (a resident of Stary Oskol), the rescuers approached the shore, lifted him on board the water craft and delivered him to a safe place. He did not need medical attention. A preventive conversation was held with the injured on the topic of safe behavior in the mountains, in particular, the need to assess possible dangers before going on the route— reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
