Rescuers had to evacuate a girl from a steep slope near the Genoese fortress

On July 22 at 19:32, the operational department received information that a girl was trying to climb the wall of the Genoese fortress from the sea side without special equipment. Rescuers’ help was needed. A unit of the Sudak emergency rescue team of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «KRYM-SPAS» consisting of 3 people and employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, it turned out that the girl had climbed the eastern slope of Mount Krepostnaya to the upper observation deck and found herself in a hard-to-reach area. As a result, she was unable to continue moving on her own. Rescuers used mountaineering equipment to descend to her and evacuate the girl to the fortress.
