In Yevpatoria today held a command-staff exercise to eliminate the emergency. According to the introductory note, an earthquake occurred in the Black Sea at a distance of 10 km from the coastal strip, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea. As a result, there is destruction in multi-apartment residential buildings, and the coastal part of the coastal strip is also destroyed. In addition, the water and electricity supply was disrupted. There are victims who need medical attention (hospitalization).
Immediately after receiving information about the “emergency situation”, notification, collection and organization of the work of the management bodies of the Evpatoria district level of the territorial subsystem of the Republic of Crimea of the Republic of Crimea of the RSChS of all levels were carried out. A meeting of the CoES and FSC was held, during which resource organizations outlined measures to eliminate the current emergency.
The duty shift of the Yevpatoriya emergency rescue team of the GKU RK «CRIMEA-SPAS», units of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, as well as the forces and means of the regional units of the RSChS, left for the place of the conditional emergency.— reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Rescuers worked out actions to rescue a conditional victim on the water. According to the plan, a person is carried away to the open sea on an inflatable mattress as a result of a sharp movement of layers of water masses off the coast. An employee of the GKU RK «KRYM-SPAS» on a floating craft swam up to a drowning man, gave him a life buoy and was promptly evacuated aboard. After that, the conditional victim was taken to the shore and handed over to medical workers for assistance.
It is emphasized that such exercises help to improve the practical skills and coordination of actions of authorities at all levels in the aftermath of emergencies.
