Resident of the Tavrida art cluster Maria Baranovskaya presented her paintings at an exhibition in New Khersones
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Byzantine Quarter Gallery presents 19 paintings dedicated to the old and new Chersonesos. Their author is a professional artist, resident and mentor of young creators of the Tavrida art cluster, Maria Baranovskaya.
The artist’s works can be seen in the recently opened historical and archaeological park “New Chersonesos” in Sevastopol.
The gallery currently features 19 of my paintings dedicated to old and new Chersonesos. These are landscapes, scenes and architectural fragments: the Museum of Crimea and Novorossiya, the Vladimir Cathedral, the Museum of Christianity, ancient basilicas and much more. All the paintings are made in a rather complex technique of multi-layered watercolor painting, in which I have been working for more than 10 years. It was a great honor for me to receive an invitation to work in the open air before the opening of the complex, and then to hold a personal exhibition on the territory of New Chersonesos.— says Maria.
Maria Baranovskaya is a professional artist, member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, member of the Eurasian Art Union, honorary member of the International Academy of Contemporary Arts, member of the Youth Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, member of the Youth Community of Fine Arts, mentor and resident of the Tavrida art cluster.
According to the artist, this exhibition has special meaning for her:
A significant part of my work is dedicated to the beauty of the Crimean land, its unique energy, the atmosphere of endless sun and light. The exhibition of paintings will be expanded. I am currently working on new works of art, I want to tell so many wonderful things and convey about the eternal beauty of Chersonesos in the language of painting!
In 2022, Maria won the Rosmolodezh.Grants competition as part of the educational race «Difficulties = Opportunities». She received 250,000 rubles to implement her project «MORE Watercolor Master Class Program». The project is currently developing successfully, painting master classes are held in Moscow and Sevastopol. In addition, Maria Baranovskaya’s brand of author’s postcards is presented on the Art.Molodosti platform, one of the flagship projects of the Tavrida art cluster.
