CrimeaPRESS reports:
Residents of the Republic of Crimea exchanged 450 kg of change during the “Coin Week” campaign. Crimeans were able to return metal money to circulation at bank branches in Simferopol and Feodosia. Most often, residents of the region exchanged coins in denominations of 10 rubles and 1 ruble — banks accepted 26 and 22 bags of such change, respectively.
Thanks to the activity of our citizens, 83 bags of coins were returned to circulation, – quotes the press service of the head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea, Igor Tsvetkov. – The promotion allows you to reduce the cost of minting new coins, and allows retailers to replenish their stocks of coins for change.
Let us remind you that “Coin Week” took place from September 25 to October 8 throughout the country. During this period, those who wished could exchange any small change for banknotes or credit it to an account at branches of participating banks.
