Residents of Sevastopol are offered to get piggy banks with change
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The “Coin Week” campaign in Sevastopol, as well as throughout the country, will be held from September 25 to October 8. All banks of the hero city participate in it. During the promotion period, residents of the region can exchange change for banknotes for free or credit the amount to their account without commission. Now there are about 500 coins for every resident of the country, and in total there are almost 71.8 billion coins in circulation in Russia. At the same time, most of them are kept in people’s piggy banks at home.
Previously, coins were in circulation more often; for example, people used them to pay for travel on public transport. But now non-cash payment is becoming more popular, and small money is no longer returned to circulation in the required volume, ending up in piggy banks. However, many shops and service businesses still need them. In addition, the return of coins to circulation is also necessary to reduce minting costs.— the press service of the deputy manager of the Sevastopol Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation quotes Yuri Solomennik.
By link a list of addresses of participating banks is provided. It is recommended to pre-sort coins by denomination.
