Resorts of federal significance will be created on the coasts of the Baltic, Azov, Black, Caspian and Japanese seas. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.
According to him, they plan to make Abrau Durso and Novaya Anapa in the Krasnodar Territory, Golden Sands of Russia and Saki in the Crimea, the Caspian coastal cluster, Russian Baltica in Kaliningrad and resorts in the Primorsky Territory. It is also planned to develop a resort on Lake Baikal. Now there is a regime of a special economic zone with tax preferences. The implementation of tourism projects on this lake will attract about 50 billion rubles of private investment.
The key indicator of the national project is the number of domestic tourist trips, which should be at least 140 million by 2030, and 10 million that will be provided by new seaside resorts, will be a serious contribution to this treasury— Chernyshenko quotes TASS.
According to the Vice-premier, at least 44,000 hotel rooms are planned to be created at the resorts. In addition, the development of resorts involves an integrated approach to infrastructure.
Following the meeting of the Presidium of the Government Commission for the Development of Tourism, more than 30 billion rubles of private investment is planned to be attracted as part of the development of the Primorsk seaside resort in the Zaporozhye region. There, on the shores of the Sea of Azov, a balneological complex with hotels, campsites and a landscape park will be created.
