Restoration and renovation of the Khan's Palace in Bakhchisarai — under the control of the head of the Crimean government

Prime Minister of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk checked the progress of restoration and repair of the Khan’s Palace in Bakhchisarai.
According to the head of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, the overall construction readiness of the facility is 72%.
Construction specialists managed to achieve 95% preservation of historical material. The restoration was carried out not only from historical materials, but also using reconstructed construction technologies of that time. The “Khan’s Palace” in Bakhchisarai is the former residence of the Crimean khans. This is the only monument of Crimean Tatar architecture of this period preserved in the Russian Federation. The architectural style of the palace continues the traditions of Ottoman architecture of the 16th-17th centuries,” said Yuri Gotsanyuk.
The Prime Minister of Crimea recalled that the Khan’s Palace ensemble includes 16 objects. Currently, repair and restoration activities have been completed at six sites: “Durbe Dilyara-Bikech Tomb”, “Northern Durbe” Tomb, “South Durbe” Tomb, “Sary Guzel Bath”, “Catherine’s Mile”, “Tombstone Rotunda”.
Acceptance of work performed at four sites is also being carried out — “Falcon Tower”, “Stable Building”, “Library Building”, “Embankment with Three Bridges”. Work continues at six sites: “Countal (suite) building”, “Khan’s kitchen”, “Main building”, “Harem”, “Khan’s mosque (II stage)”, “Gardens and park structures”,” noted Yuri Gotsanyuk.
According to the Crimean Ministry of Culture, the amount of funding for the work is over 3.5 billion rubles.
