Restoration of the house in which A.S. Pushkin lived continues in Gurzuf

Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina checked the progress of restoration work in Gurzuf at the federal cultural heritage site “The House in which A.S. Lived.” Pushkin.»

As part of the working trip, together with the management of the Directorate for Centralized Maintenance and Development of Cultural Institutions (customer), the Crimean Literary and Art Memorial Museum-Reserve, and the contractor RosKapStroy, the progress of repair and restoration work was monitored, problematic issues and ways to solve them were discussed– reports the press service of the Republican Ministry of Culture.

What is done. The walls and interfloor ceilings were strengthened, the adjacent territory was improved with the creation of an independent passage to the museum territory and the design of the entrance area, and the water supply and sewerage networks were replaced.

What is being done now. Work continues on the restoration of the exhibition halls, restoration of the attic floor and belvedere. Measures are being taken to restore the fountain in front of the central entrance to the building, the retaining wall with decorative flowerpots from 1865, the staircase with a metal pergola and rose garden leading from the site in front of the central entrance to the museum to the Gurzuf embankment.

Let us remind you that the restoration of the object is being implemented in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On the 225th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin.» The list of activities includes work on the restoration of the object with the maximum recreation of the appearance of the building as of 1820, when Alexander Pushkin stayed there, with the adaptation of the object to modern use (strengthening interfloor ceilings and repairing the gallery, landscaping the adjacent territory with the creation of an independent passage to the museum territory and design of the entrance area).
