Results of socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea for the 1st quarter of 2024

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko summed up the main results of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea for the 1st quarter of 2024 at the board of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea.
The impact of sanctions restrictions and factors related to the implementation of the SVO for the republic’s economy has been minimized as much as possible. The anti-crisis measures taken, including at the federal level, ensure the sustainable development of the Republic of Crimea. According to her, evidence of this is the data from the analysis of socio-economic development. For example, the turnover of organizations increased by 13.2% and amounted to almost 250 billion rubles, tax and non-tax revenues to the budget increased by 32.2% to 24 billion rubles. In industry, production volume increased by 6.5%, with a total of 56.5 billion rubles worth of products shipped, which is 13.9% higher than in 2023,” noted the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea.
The performance indicators of the transport industry have increased. The volume of cargo transported by road increased 1.4 times, passenger turnover — by 13.2%.
Passenger transportation by rail increased by 12%, including long-distance transportation by almost 21%. Increased transport accessibility of the region ensured an increase in tourist flow. The number of organized holidaymakers increased by 34.2%. In total, 521.4 thousand people took a vacation in the republic in the first quarter, which is 6.6% more than last year. At the same time, 6% of tourists arrived in Crimea by land route through new territories. In 2023, their share was only 1%.
Thanks to state support for the agro-industrial complex, which in 2024 will amount to 2.7 billion rubles, milk production in agricultural organizations in the 1st quarter increased by almost 2%, eggs — by 12%.
The growth in production ensured a record low level of inflation. According to the results of the 1st quarter, prices increased by 1% — this is 3rd place in the Russian Federation. At the same time, food products rose in price by only 0.3% — this is the second result among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, non-food products — by 1%, services — by 2.7%noted the Deputy Prime Minister.
Irina Kiviko also noted the recovery in consumer demand.
Retail trade turnover increased by 9.9%. This was facilitated by an increase in wages by 13.7% (for January-February 2024, its amount was 47,474 rubles). In real terms, wages increased by 5.9%. Positive dynamics are also recorded in the labor market. The average unemployment rate over the past three months was 3.4%, which is 0.6 percentage points higher. less than a year ago— the press service of the Deputy Prime Minister quotes.
The number of current vacancies is 4 times higher than the number of unemployed – almost 20 thousand offers have been recorded on the labor market.
