The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol sums up the response of units during the winter celebrations of 2024 — from January 1 to 8.
During the holiday weekend, units of the Main Directorate made 80 combat missions. During this period, 12 fires occurred in the region, which is 3 less than in 2023. All fires were man-made, no fires were registered in natural areas, and there were no deaths or injuries. Positive dynamics were largely achieved thanks to competent and systematic preventive work, — reported the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol.
Prevention at water bodies has also borne fruit: for the third year in a row, no accidents occurred on water during the holidays.
There were also no incidents in the mountainous and forested areas, whereas last year there were 3 such incidents.
2 times employees of the emergency department were involved in the work to eliminate the consequences of road accidents — this is also 3 incidents less than at the same time last year. 1 person saved.
Pyrotechnicians of the Specialized Squad of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations discovered 13 explosive objects from the times of the Great Patriotic War — all finds were successfully neutralized.
