RFU explained why Crimean clubs are not accepted into Russian leagues

Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vyacheslav Koloskov, in an interview with «Gazeta.Ru» said that the organization does not the question was raised about the inclusion of the Crimean clubs in Russian leagues. Earlier, information appeared in the media about the possible inclusion of the Crimean teams in the FNL-2 (the third division in Russia).
I attended yesterday’s meeting of the Executive Committee of the RFU, and this topic was not discussed, it was not raised at all and was not mentioned at all , — said Vyacheslav Koloskov. — It was simply not on the agenda, and somewhere on the sidelines it was not discussed either. The fact is that the RFU is still a member of FIFA and UEFA. And since the Football Federation of Crimea is not recognized by these organizations as part of the Russian Football Union, we cannot play with Crimean clubs. We still adhere to this position.
In the 2014 year, after the protest of Ukraine, UEFA banned the RFU from including Crimean clubs in their leagues under the threat of exclusion of Russian clubs and the national team from international competitions.
