RNCB clients have issued more than 100 thousand virtual cards for online payments

Since the beginning 2022 of the year, the bank’s customers have issued more than 11 thousand virtual cards. Such cards do not have a physical carrier (plastic), but there is a bank account, details and cash on the balance. Over the past year, the number of virtual cards issued by RNCB has more than doubled as customers have appreciated the benefits of online payments that do not require a physical card carrier.

The virtual card has the full functionality of a regular card, including fast and secure payment for online purchases. In addition, you can store money on it and use it to make transfers to other cards and accounts, pay utility bills, etc. You can also add the card to the Mir Pay payment application and make payments with your smartphone in ordinary stores. You can open a virtual card on your own without visiting the office using the RNKB mobile application /7, the press service notes. jar.

Approximately two thirds of RNKB virtual card transactions are made by individuals, and another third are purchases in online stores. For 11 months 2022 of the year, the number of transactions with such cards amounted to 2.7 million pieces, which is about 3 times more than for the same period 2022 of the year. The amount of transactions for 11 months 2022 of the year amounted to 505, 6 million rubles, which is 2.5 times more than the same indicator 2021 of the year. The absolute leaders among the recipients of payments with RNKB virtual cards are the largest trading wholesale marketplaces and online stores, while the average payment receipt in the 2022 year was 1179 rubles.

Note that customers who regularly make purchases using virtual cards are much less likely to become victims of fraud. Among other things, they know the basic security rule — that the card number, its expiration date and CVV code can be used when paying for purchases on the Internet on trusted sites, but you cannot talk to strangers on the phone, even if they pretend to be bank employees.
