RNKB introduced a coin with station hours of Simferopol and Sochi

The name of the coin “Secrets of Time” was not chosen by chance-it recalls many riddles and theories that have been built around the twin stations for decades. It is believed that the architect Alexei Dushkin, who designed the stations of Simferopol and Sochi, demonstrated the inextricable connection of the Crimean Peninsula and Russia with the help of station tower-twin towers. In addition, the architect in a special way used the symbols of the zodiac signs on the dials of tower hours to reflect the cultural code of the regions.

The “Secrets of Time” coin was minted by the St. Petersburg Mint of JSC Goznak 500 copies.

The Avers shows the Simferopol Tower Watch relief, there is a Simferopol inscription nearby, and in the background there is a white dial with a full moon in the center. On the reverse there are Sochi tower watches with a black dial, in the center of which is the white sun.

In 2024, the RNKB replenished the assortment of precious coins with new copies: “Crimea — Russia 10 years”, “225 years since the birth of A.S. Pushkin ”and“ 80 years of the Crimean astrophysical observatory ”.
