Road accident in Evpatoria: a child was injured. But the culprit tried to escape

Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Yevpatoria are conducting an investigation into an accident in which a minor was injured. As the traffic police clarified, a traffic accident occurred this afternoon (at 12:40) near the Maximum shopping center.
The driver of a VAZ 2101 car, moving along the street. On May 9, he hit a minor pedestrian born in 2012, who was crossing the roadway from right to left in the direction of a vehicle, outside a pedestrian crossing. As a result of an accident, a minor was taken to hospitalnoted the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The driver who caused the accident fled the scene.
As a result of operational search activities, within several hours the police identified and detained the driver who fled the scene of the accident. He turned out to be a 19-year-old local resident who did not have driving privileges. For leaving the scene of an accident, administrative material was drawn up against the driver of the VAZ 2101 under Part 2 of Art. 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, for driving a vehicle by a driver who does not have the right to drive a vehicle, administrative material has been compiled under Part 1 of Art. 12.7 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. An administrative case has been initiated against a local resident under Art. 12.24 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The investigation is being carried out by the police and the prosecutor’s office.
