Road accident in Yevpatoria: three cars collided, a person was injured… and the culprit was a drunk driver

In Evpatoria, on the street. Chapaev there was an accident involving three cars, in which a passenger in one of the cars was injured. As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, the 23-year-old driver, who was previously guilty of committing an accident, showed signs of intoxication.

The examination showed 0.97 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, which is 6 times higher than the permissible limit. For not bringing him to administrative responsibility, the driver of the foreign car persistently offered the police a monetary reward in the amount of 100,000 rubles.

The driver was explained that his actions were illegal and subject to criminal liability, but he left the money in the patrol car— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the driver for driving while intoxicated. The vehicle is placed in a specialized parking lot.

The materials collected by the police officers were sent to the investigative authorities for making a procedural decision.
