Road accident on the Tavrida highway: a young car driver dozed off at the wheel and crashed into a bus

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The police are conducting an investigation into an accident on the Tavrida highway involving a Simferopol — Pyatigorsk regular bus. The accident occurred the day before, at 14:45, near the village of Zuya.

The driver, born in 2005, driving a Renault Logan vehicle, moving from the city of Simferopol towards the city of Kerch in the far right lane, drove off the roadway to the right, then the vehicle skidded into the far left lane, where he collided with a bus «Neoplan», which was moving in the same direction. As a result of a traffic accident, a 19-year-old driver of a Renault Logan vehicle received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility— reported the traffic police.

There were 21 passengers on the Simferopol-Pyatigorsk bus, none of them were injured.

The progress of the investigation into the accident has been taken under control at the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office.
