Roads and transport of Sevastopol are being prepared for the autumn-winter period
CrimeaPRESS reports:
During a staff meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the readiness of the road and transport infrastructure for the autumn-winter period was discussed. Thus, Sevavtodor has already purchased 6,729 tons of de-icing materials, which, if necessary, will be promptly delivered to icy areas. The fleet of special equipment is also equipped; it is planned to increase it on behalf of the governor.
If weather conditions worsen in winter, Sevavtodor carries out a set of measures that includes clearing snow drifts and eliminating winter ice. The institution has also organized a 24-hour dispatch service for timely response, including to incoming information from the Unified Duty Dispatch Service of Sevastopol, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate and the Ministry of Emergency Situations– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the department of transport and development of road transport infrastructure Stanislav Tamataev.
As part of the development of intelligent transport systems, five road weather stations were installed in Sevastopol, which inform when the weather is changing and it is necessary to respond. This year, a government contract was awarded for the installation of seven more automated road weather stations. Mikhail Razvozhaev noted that it is also important to actively inform residents in advance about the upcoming bad weather.
Enterprise «Sevelektroavtotrans im. A. S. Krupoderova” is also preparing for the autumn-winter period: work is planned to replace car tires, primarily on school buses and social taxis. In addition, seasonal maintenance of vehicles is carried out. Private enterprises are also taking preparations.
