Robbery in Alushta. The court made a fair decision

In Alushta, two local residents were sentenced to imprisonment for robbery. They were found guilty under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“robbery”), and one of them under Part 1 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“theft”).
The court found that in March of this year, the men, while on the embankment, saw a man and woman vacationing, who periodically walked away from their belongings, leaving them unattended. At such a moment, the attackers grabbed the bag and backpack belonging to the victims and began to run away. Their illegal actions were discovered by the victims, but the demands to return the stolen property were ignored by the convicts.,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
The actions of the men caused damage to the victims in the amount of 53 thousand rubles. In addition, one of the convicts in the winter of this year, while visiting a friend, stole money belonging to her in the amount of 3 thousand rubles.
The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the men to imprisonment for 4 years and 4 years and 6 months. Convicts will serve their sentences in general and strict regime correctional colonies. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
