Rosavtodor recommends planning trips across the Crimean Bridge and stocking up on water
CrimeaPRESS reports:
With the start of the summer holiday season, significant queues of over 1,000 vehicles are recorded on the approaches to the Crimean Bridge. This is due to inspection measures. The waiting time can be up to three hours.
It is important to plan your vacation trip correctly — for example, leave home so that you end up at the bridge not during peak hours — on Saturday and Sunday, but on Tuesday Wednesday (this was shown by the experience of the summer season last year). In the event of a queue for inspection, for the convenience of drivers and passengers, there are rest areas on the approaches to the Crimean Bridge both from the Krasnodar Territory and from the Republic of Crimea— the message says.
It is also recommended to take into account the climatic features of the South of Russia and not to forget to stock up on drinking water, which is necessary on the road. Rosavtodor also reminded that when driving on the Crimean Bridge, a 100% inspection of vehicles and citizens is carried out at specially equipped sites. Passenger vehicles and regular buses are allowed to travel.
An alternative route has been organized for the passage of freight vehicles through the mainland parts of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
