CrimeaPRESS reports:

The reason is “non-standard samples” of sea water.

According to the results of checking the quality of sea water, non-standard samples were identified, swimming is prohibited on several beaches in four municipalities of Crimea. This RIA Novosti Crimea446 was reported by the head of the Interregional Department of Rospotrebnadzor Natalya Penkovskaya.

84 If the quality of sea water does not meet the established hygienic standards, swimming is prohibited due to the threat to life and health. Rospotrebnadzor clarified that swimming is prohibited, but staying on the beach and sunbathing are allowed. The ban is lifted as soon as the indicators return to normal. At the same time, water samples are taken daily.

Tomorrow the ban may be set on completely different beaches. If the water quality is normal, the ban will be lifted. The data changes every day. Samples are not taken on all beaches at the same time, roughly speaking, on Mondays. At each beach, water research is carried out according to a certain schedule, including depending on previous indicators. Water research is also carried out by entrepreneurs as part of their production control , Penkovskaya explained.

According to the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Crimea, this year 446 beaches are working in Crimea. Most of the beach areas in Alushta — 90, Evpatoria — 84, and Yalta — 81.
