Rosprirodnadzor is looking for the Amur tiger in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
You may not see him, but the tiger is there!
Rosprirodnadzor reported about the search for the Red Book Amur tiger in the Crimea. Most likely, the predator escaped from some private (clandestine?) zoo (hunting pen?). It is clear that this is definitely not a pet of “Fairy Tale”, “Taigan”, Bakhchisarai Miniature Park, Simferopol Zoo Corner… Or maybe it moved to the peninsula from the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions? Anything can happen, as they say, need will force… In any case, they are looking for the tiger.
The Southern Interregional Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor received materials indicating that a Red Book tiger was spotted on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. The Republic of Crimea is not the natural habitat of the Amur tiger and presumably the animal found itself in the wild had previously lived in captivity.
We remind you that the Amur tiger is listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation; hunting and catching wild animals is prohibited. Illegal hunting of a Red Book animal is subject to criminal liability.— reported in Rosprirodnadzor.
The department received appropriate permission to catch the Red Book animal and transfer it for temporary maintenance. Any information about the whereabouts of a wild animal must be urgently reported to the Southern Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor by phone: 861 268-32-61,
+7 918-060-01-87.
PS. What will Zubkov and Zhilenko say on this topic?
