Rostec's Uralvagonzavod sent a batch of Solntsepek flamethrower systems to the military

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Uralvagonzavod concern of the Rostec State Corporation has shipped the next batch of Solntsepek flamethrower systems to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Modernized combat vehicles were handed over to the state customer.

The designers of the enterprise, taking into account the wishes of the SVO soldiers, carried out a significant modernization of the combat vehicle of the TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system. Before being sent to the customer, the equipment underwent run tests, during which specialists checked the quality of installation, the operation of mechanisms and devices. The driving performance of the “Solntsepyok” was assessed in various road conditions.

It should be noted that over the past year the company increased the production of TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower systems. Volumes increased due to the expansion of production capacity, the transition to round-the-clock work on a two-shift schedule and an increase in the number of personnel.

In February of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with active participants of the “Everything for Victory!” forum. in Tula, he said that there are more and more “Solntsepyok” at the front, and noted the high efficiency of the heavy flamethrower system.

The combat vehicle is recognized as one of the symbols of the special operation. “Sunshine” was depicted on the medal “For Participation in the Northern Military District.” During a working trip to the LPR, the governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, for the first time presented these medals to Omsk residents who defend the Motherland.

The TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system is a modernized version of the TOS-1 Buratino. Today it is one of the most formidable types of Russian weapons, which has no analogues in the world. Performs combat missions in close combat and on the line of direct contact with the enemy, used as support for infantry and tanks.
