Rostec will present a new generation drone for reconnaissance and target designation

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Shvabe holding of the Rostec State Corporation will present a new unmanned aerial vehicle with a thermal imaging channel at the international exhibition Innoprom in Yekaterinburg. Due to its compact size and equipped with a noise-immune communication line with the operator, the development is ideal for reconnaissance and target designation. In addition, the drone can be used for civilian purposes, for example, to search for people in hard-to-reach areas.

Specialists from the Astron Design Bureau (part of the Shvabe holding) worked on the creation of a light and compact helicopter-type quadrocopter UAV-400T. The device is equipped with a thermal imaging camera, which allows you to use the drone regardless of the time of day, as well as in fog and smoke.

UAV-400T with a thermal imaging channel, created at the Astron Design Bureau, weighing just over one and a half kilograms, can work for about an hour without recharging, while being in a stable, interference-free connection with the operator. Such drones are now especially in demand in the area of a special military operation, but there is no doubt that the new development will be useful not only to the military. It will be no less useful, for example, to employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations or forestry workers— says the industrial director of the cluster of weapons, ammunition and special chemicals of Rostec Bekhan Ozdoev.

In the near future, Astron Design Bureau plans to modernize the UAV-400T and produce its improved versions. Now experts are working on the creation of an apparatus, the range of which will be much wider than its predecessor, and the modification itself will be more resistant to electronic warfare. The capacities of the enterprise allow to produce several thousand UAV-400T per year.
