Rural and ecological, pedestrian and industrial types of tourism are being developed in Crimea

The Head of the Republic of Crimea in his Telegram channel shared aspects of the development of some unique types of tourism in the republic. According to Sergei Aksenov, Crimea is a vacation for every taste, including in the off-season.
A simple example: many tourists want not only to taste Crimean wines, but also to participate in the grape harvest and learn about the secrets of wine production. Such excursions are visited by about a million guests of the peninsula, and the demand for them is growing every year,” said the Head of Crimea.
At the same time, other types of tourism are actively developing in the republic, ranging from rural and ecological to pedestrian and industrial. As an example, Sergei Aksenov cited the “Great Crimean Trail” project.
The route runs along the coast through 7 municipal districts, 6 urban districts and more than 20 specially protected natural areas. The total length of the “trail” is more than 750 km. In 2023, 4 stages were landscaped, and several more are planned by the end of this year. The project will unite more than 3 thousand tourist sites, including the Karalar Natural Park, Quiet Bay, the Voloshin and Green trails, the cave cities of Bakhchisarai, the Grand Canyon, Cape Meganom, Demerdzhi, Ai-Petri, the “Little Jerusalem” tourist route in Evpatoria, – said the Head of Crimea.
In addition, an agreement was reached with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to launch a new program for the development of gastronomic tourism. In this direction, Crimea will become one of the pilot regions along with Sakhalin.
Sergey Aksenov also noted that industrial and agro-industrial tourism is becoming increasingly popular. “More than 80 enterprises operate in this area. These include farms and personal subsidiary plots. By the way, special excursion programs are being developed for children and schoolchildren to help with career guidancenotes the Head of the Republic.
In general, since 2014, 109 new tourist display facilities have been opened in Crimea, and 34 facilities have undergone modernization. 430 unique tourist routes of various directions have been developed.
