Russia Day in Chersonesus was bright and educational!
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today hundreds of residents and guests of Sevastopol came to a themed celebration at the museum-reserve! On Russia Day in Chersonesos, children and adults enjoyed attending a music concert, going on excursions, listening to lectures on history and culture, and taking part in master classes in the Byzantine courtyard.
In the morning, guide Roman Lutsa gave guests an interactive tour “The Korsun Legend”, telling about the baptism of Grand Duke Vladimir in the ancient city. Then the head of the scientific and archival department of the museum-reserve, Tatyana Prokhorova, and the head of the exhibition department, Pavel Khlebovsky, gave two fascinating lectures — “The role of the royal family in the development of Chersonesos” and “The Russian spirit in the paintings of outstanding painters.”
And, of course, what would a holiday be without music and face painting! On June 12, in the Byzantine courtyard, visitors to the museum-reserve enjoyed a concert by the pop and brass band of the Folk Art Center. And after applying face painting, young guests and their parents happily took pictures near our interactive photo zone!
During the entire event, a crafts fair was held in the Byzantine courtyard of Tauride Chersonesos and creative master classes were held. Children and adults enthusiastically took part in them, and also made postcards to the soldiers of the special military operation as part of the “Letter to a Soldier” campaign, organized with the support of the Sevastopol branch of the “Defenders of the Fatherland” foundation. Your warm wishes will definitely be conveyed to our heroes! These letters will help them understand how much they are welcome at home.
We thank all the guests of the “Russia Day in Chersonesos” holiday! We are always glad to see you at the museum-reserve!
