Russia Day in Crimean children’s camps traditionally begins with the line and raising of the state flag of the Russian Federation. Children who have proven themselves during the shift personally raise Russian flags on rulers. Next, there are drawing competitions on asphalt in the theme of the Year of the Family and the Russian tricolor. For middle-aged and older children, camp-wide events are held dedicated to the history of Russia, historical figures, geography and sights of our country. As part of the evening events, creative festivals dedicated to the cultures and traditions of the peoples of Russia will be held.
Now more than ten thousand children relax and recuperate in children’s camps in Crimea. Preparing and conducting a children’s recreation program is a lot of work by teams of teachers, methodologists, counselors, cultural organizers, and circle leaders. Every day is filled with events and opportunities for children to show and reveal their talents. On Russia Day, every child in children’s camps has the opportunity to express their patriotic sentiments and pride in their country through creativity.
Starting this year, work teams of teenagers have been making their contribution to the organization of children’s health in Crimea, working as animators and assistant counselors. Thus, teenagers with their work help teachers and counselors in children’s camps in the patriotic education of the younger generation.
Svetlana Ovsepyan, head of the pedagogical direction of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student teams, noted:
The celebration of Russia Day in children’s camps in Crimea has become a real symbol of patriotism and unity. Children and teenagers not only demonstrate their creative abilities, but also feel part of a great country. Such events instill in the younger generation love for the Motherland and pride in its achievements.
