“Russia’s Strongest Man 2024”: Sergei Aksyonov congratulated the Crimean tournament winners
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, met with Crimean strongmen — winners of the All-Russian tournament “The Strongest Man of Russia 2024”, which was held in Yevpatoria on the eve of National Unity Day.
Athletes from different cities of the Russian Federation competed in four disciplines, including towing a truck crane weighing 22 tons, lifting 150-kilogram logs over their heads, and carrying 400-kilogram rocker arms.
According to the results of the tournament, strongmen Egor Sorokoletov from Kerch and Konstantin Koldunov from Simferopol entered the top ten. Strongman, Master of Sports of Russia Jamshid Ismatillaev from Sudak and powerlifter Dmitry Alekseev from Bakhchisarai set a paired national record for towing railway equipment — a narrow-gauge tram weighing more than 20 tons over a distance of 10 meters in two minutes.
Sergey Aksenov expressed gratitude to the athletes who defend the honor of Crimea at all-Russian tournaments and promote the positive image of Russia at international competitions.
The guys inspire us with their victories, which all Crimeans are rightfully proud of. I wish you new achievements, success and accomplishments! — said the Head of the Republic.
Sergey Aksyonov also thanked the coaches, international masters of sports Andrey Sharkov and Mikhail Paller for organizing and successfully holding the All-Russian tournament “The Strongest Man of Russia 2024”.
For their contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov awarded the strongmen with Letters of Gratitude from the Head of the Republic of Crimea.
