Russian Society “Knowledge”: Crimeans can take part in a lecture competition

Crimeans can take part in a lecturer competition from the Russian Society “Knowledge”. Participants of Knowledge.Lecturer — 2024 will have a chance to join the regional teams of lecturers of the Knowledge Society and regularly speak at local educational events. The 50 winners of the main selection will receive 250 thousand rubles each to promote their educational content, and the strongest schoolchildren will receive vouchers to the Artek International Children’s Center.

Citizens of the Russian Federation over 14 years old can apply on the project website from April 24 to June 30, 2024 (pupils — until June 3).

The main selection will begin with a training course on public speaking. Course graduates must upload a video business card and a letter of recommendation from government authorities, public associations, educational organizations, the scientific community or business by July 5.

The regional stage will take place from August to November: the contestants will have to organize their own lectures with the support of branches of the Knowledge Society. There are 14 lecture topics to choose from, one of them – “family values” – is dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia.

The decision on admission to the finals will be made by the Expert Council. Contestants will perform before it online from November to December.

Selection in the category «Schoolchildren» will end in July: contestants will receive training in public speaking, preparation of presentation materials and interviews with experts. 175 finalists will go to the specialized shift of Knowledge. Lecturer at the Artek International Children’s Center from September 25 to October 16, 2024.

Participants of Knowledge.Lecturer can receive partner prizes by completing additional tasks from the “Other Business” service. The rating will be available in special leaderboards.

The Knowledge.Lecturer — 2024 project is a continuation of the All-Russian competition “League of Lecturers”, which over three seasons covered all regions of Russia. Last season, the finalists of the competition from the Republic of Crimea included Maxim Kriventsov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy with a sectional course of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the Medical Institute named after S. I. Georgievsky (Crimean Federal University named after V. I. Vernadsky) .
