The cooperation of Russian student brigades with the More Than Work project of the More Than Travel program began in 2023. Within its framework, participants of the student brigades movement travel to work projects in the service and medical areas. The project “More than work” allows young people to go to a work project from any region of Russia in cases where the employer is unable to compensate for travel costs, — emphasizes the head (commander) of the Central Headquarters of Russian Student Teams, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Dmitry Paramonov.
In 2024, 15,000 students will work in medical teams during the summer. Ten all-Russian labor projects will be organized on the territory of Russia based on medical institutions in the cities of Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk, Barnaul, Arkhangelsk, Perm, Stary Oskol, Voronezh, the Republic of Tatarstan, Chelyabinsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Moscow. The More Than Work project was launched in June 2022. It solves the problem of employment of young specialists. Its participants travel around the country and undergo industrial practice or an internship program at enterprises with subsequent employment opportunities. The project also helps to meet the demand of government and business for qualified personnel. The main areas of activity of the enterprises where the project participants undergo internships are the largest city-forming production sites, companies from the fuel and energy sector, chemical production, space industry enterprises, metallurgical and transport companies. In 2023, over 16.5 thousand people became participants in the project. The operator of the More Than Work project is the Rosmolodezh.Career track.
“More than a Journey” is a Rosmolodezh program, thanks to which over 175 thousand young people have seen unique places in our country, learned about the achievements of universities and industrial enterprises, developed a socially significant project and found new friends.
Prize winners and awardees of all-Russian projects are sent on trips around the country: schoolchildren, students, young specialists from the regions, and family members of military personnel.
In addition to the traditional tourist program — acquaintance with the natural, cultural, historical features of the regions, young people visit Russian production facilities, educational organizations and other significant sites of the country, they have the opportunity to contribute to the development of cities, participate in volunteer activities, become co-authors of travels. Diversified tourism also involves professional self-realization — participants in the trips can prove themselves and receive an offer of internship and employment or apply the knowledge gained in their native region.
The More Than a Journey program is being implemented by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) within the framework of the federal project Increasing the Availability of Tourism Products of the national project Tourism and Hospitality Industry. It is part of the series of projects of the presidential platform Russia – a Country of Opportunities and is being implemented with the support of the All-Russian public and state movement of children and youth Movement of the First, the Russian Society Knowledge, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo.
In 2024, student brigades celebrate the 65th anniversary of the movement’s founding and the 20th anniversary of the creation of the modern history of student brigades. In honor of these events, more than a hundred events are planned across the country, which will unite over 1 million people.
Over the 65 years of the movement’s existence, more than 20 million people have gone through the school of student brigades. These are students and schoolchildren who have received their first work experience, acquired new acquaintances and made a significant contribution to the development of our country.
