Russian tourism forum “Travel!” intend to make it annual

Russian Tourism Forum «Travel!» will become annual. The corresponding order was signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. The Organizing Committee of the Russian Tourism Forum “Travel!” has been formed, headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.

President Vladimir Putin instructed to increase the share of tourism in GDP and the export of tourism services by 2030. To achieve this goal, the state and business need to join forces in creating a comfortable tourism infrastructure and developing a variety of offers for our travelers. The Travel Forum will become the central event in the tourism sector — it will unite over 400 thousand participants and more than 500 companies. All types of tourism will be demonstrated at the forum, and multimedia stands, festival and gastronomic areas will introduce guests to the characteristics of the country’s regions. For the first time, forum visitors will be given the opportunity to purchase tours around Russia on the spot at competitive rates. Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov emphasized the importance of the international component of the event. According to him, more than 20 countries responded to the invitation to take part in the Forum, including China, India, Thailand, Egypt, Algeria, Cuba and Tunisia.

The key events of this year’s Forum business program will be the plenary session, the All-Russian meeting of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation with the heads of regional tourism departments and bilateral meetings with partners in the format of working groups and commissions.

Russian tourism forum “Travel!” will take place from June 12 to 16. Last year, more than 2,800 delegates from 70 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 11 foreign countries took part in the Forum.
