Most of all, Russians plan to travel around the country during the November holidays – domestic destinations account for 72.6% of purchased air tickets and 96.74% of railway tickets. Popular cities include Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don. Overseas travelers will travel to Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the UAE and Thailand.

Russians also plan to travel to Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Surgut for the November holidays.

Moreover, among specific air routes, Moscow — Kaliningrad is in first place, Moscow — Sochi is in second, and Moscow — Mineralnye Vody is in third. Next in popularity are St. Petersburg — Sochi, Moscow — Makhachkala, Moscow — St. Petersburg.

Popular among foreign countries are: Uzbekistan – 27.43% of air tickets were issued there, Azerbaijan – 13.07%, Kyrgyzstan – 9.27%. Air tickets to Turkey, the UAE, Armenia, Georgia and Thailand are also in demand.

Tutu analysts added that travelers have begun to use the booking service more often — it allows you to fix the price of an air ticket. They also buy tickets with the possibility of a 100% refund if the trip suddenly has to be rescheduled.

Railway

By train for the November holidays, travelers will go to two capitals, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Simferopol. The share of purchased tickets to Moscow is 25.6%, to St. Petersburg – 10.7%, to Krasnodar – 4.5%, to Rostov-on-Don – 4.3%, to Simferopol – 2.7%. The top railway destinations also included Adler, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Sochi and Kazan.

The largest number of hotels for the November holidays were booked in Russia – 82.57%, abroad – 17.43%. The average bill for one night within the country is 3,254 rubles, abroad – 6,948 rubles. Typically travelers book a hotel for 3-4 nights.

The top 5 cities where hotels are most often booked for the November holidays included two capitals: Sochi, Kazan and Yaroslavl. The average bill for one night in Moscow is 3126 rubles, in St. Petersburg – 3700 rubles, in Sochi – 2571 rubles, in Kazan – 3328 rubles, in Yaroslavl – 1269 rubles. On average, travelers stay in hotels in these cities for 1-4 nights.

Tutu analysts added that the number of travelers who use the Check-In Guarantee service at hotels has increased. They also began to watch video reviews of hotels and apartments more often, so as not to make a mistake with their choice.
