Russians bite ticks — and the season has just begun

Since the beginning of the season, more than 15 thousand Russians turned to the medical organization for help due to tick bites. This was reported in Rospotrebnadzor. According to the agency, the largest number of appeals were registered in the Kemerovo, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk region, Rostov regions, as well as in the Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk regions.

In order to prevent, acaricidal processing of territories is carried out — more than 9.2 thousand hectares were processed in 50 regions of Russia. In 2025, acaricidal treatments for 40.3 thousand hectares are planned for the upcoming summer opening of children’s health facilities in 2025— informed in Rospotrebnadzor.
