Russians will ban the sale of apartments for cash

The draft law prohibiting housing transactions for cash was developed by the Russian Union of Participants in the Real Estate Market. She expects that in the summer the draft law will be submitted to the State Duma, and until the end of 2025 the law will be accepted.

It is planned to form a special compensation fund to help people affected by the actions of unscrupulous realtors. In addition, for people over 65 years old, the notarial certification of transactions will become mandatory.

The Prosecutor General also supports an increase in the terms of registration of real estate transactions from 10 to 20 days through Rosreestr and up to 12 days through the MFC. In addition, the department advocates the suspension of registration of dubious transactions.
