«Safe City» There are almost half a thousand outdoor surveillance cameras in Simferopol

The head of the administration of Simferopol, Mikhail Afanasyev, said that 417 video surveillance cameras operate in the city as part of the “Safe City” project.

In 2023, 354 video cameras were put into operation. During 2024, we will continue to develop the video surveillance system in our city and plan to connect about 600 more cameras: 150 of them in public areas and 450 cameras in the courtyards of apartment buildingssaid the mayor.

Now, according to him, work is underway to map video cameras located on the territory of Simferopol.

This will allow all services to receive information and carry out operational monitoring of the territories of our city.,” Afanasiev concluded.
