Sakchanin Vitaly Akulenko is the winner of the All-Russian Canoe and Kayaking Competition in Altai

Candidate for Master of Sports of Russia Vitaly Akulenko from Saki (coach – Fikret Akimov) became the winner of the All-Russian competitions in canoeing in memory of Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Konstantin Kostenko. Traditionally, boys and girls under 17 years of age took part in the starts, which have been held in Barnaul, Altai Krai, since 2007.

This year, more than one hundred rowers from seven regions of Russia competed for medals in the competitions that took place on August 3 and 4: Altai, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krais, Crimea, Bashkortostan, Yaroslavl and Chelyabinsk Oblasts.

Vitaly Akulenko, a student of the MBU DO «Sports School No. 4 of the Saki District», had no equal in the single kayak races over a distance of 1000 m.
