Saki rowers-«academicians» won 7 medals at the Southern Federal District Championship in Rostov-on-Don

The Southern Federal District Rowing Championship among boys and girls under 15, 17 and 19 years old was held in Rostov-on-Don from June 28 to 30.

Crimean rowers (guys from Saki and Saki district) won 7 medals at these competitions – 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze. Anton Sokolov and Aleksandr Vill became the winners of the championship in the “pairs” races among young men under 17 years old. Another Crimean “pair”, Mikhail Smal and Gleb Chuvashov, took “silver” in the competition for young men under 19 years old. Also “silver” went to our girls under 15 in the “fours” races with a coxswain – Olga Ageeva, Anna Chernavtseva, Polina Serdyukova, Katerina Kapleya and coxswain Nikita Pikalov— reports «Crimean Sport».

The third place in their races was taken by the Crimean “fours” of boys under 15 (Ivan Rychko, Ilya Shendrik, Vyacheslav Ivnenko and Roman Kozhakov), under 17 (Mikhail Momot, Iskender Akmullaev, Mustafa Akmullaev and Bogdan Belokopytov) and under 19 (Mikhail Smal, Gleb Chuvashov, Anton Sokolov and Alexander Vill), as well as Vyacheslav Ivnenko in the “singles” races among boys under 15.

Saki rowers train under the guidance of Vadim Buchelovsky, Alexey Rychko and Amet Absimetov.
