Sale of a batch of synthetic drugs was prevented in Kerch

As a result of processing operational information, employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch, in cooperation with employees of the Department for the city of Kerch of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, detained a local resident suspected of attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs.
During a personal search, investigators removed 17 packages containing an unknown substance from the jacket pocket of the 24-year-old attacker, which were sent for examination. Experts confirmed that the presented sample with a total weight of 9.83 grams is a synthetic narcotic drug derived from N-methylephedron (salt). The suspect admitted that he ordered a narcotic drug on the Internet, according to the “curator’s” instructions, and later took a packaged batch of the drug from a hidden cache. The attacker had to sell the “product” contactlessly,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
The Investigative Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Kerch opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 hours 4 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempt at the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed using information and telecommunication networks, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, on a large scale, namely, intentional actions of a person directly aimed at committing a crime, if the crime was not completed due to circumstances beyond the control of this person.” The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 20 years. A preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen against the man.
