The interregional department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol conducts weekly operational monitoring of the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in the population of the peninsula.

During the reporting week in the Republic of Crimea, 5,770 people fell ill with acute respiratory viral infections, the rate per 10 thousand/population was 30.4, the epidemic threshold was not exceeded. In Sevastopol, 2,833 people fell ill with respiratory infections over the past week, the rate per 10 thousand/population is 54.2, 35.7% higher than the previous week.— reported the Interregional Department of Rospotrebnadzor.

According to laboratory virological monitoring, the incidence of respiratory infections on the peninsula is due to the active circulation of influenza viruses and viruses of non-influenza etiology.
