The interregional department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol conducts weekly operational monitoring of the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) in the population of the peninsula.
Data for the past week: in Crimea, 12,112 people fell ill with ARVI, an indicator of 63.8 per 10 thousand population. The epidemic threshold was exceeded by 32.1%. In Sevastopol, 3,401 people fell ill with respiratory infections over the past week, the rate is 65.1 per 10 thousand population.
According to laboratory virological monitoring, the incidence of respiratory infections on the peninsula is due to the active circulation of influenza viruses and non-influenza viruses,” the experts clarified.
The situation is under the control of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
