Savings of Sevastopol residents exceeded 78 billion rubles
Krympress reports:
As of July 1, 2025, residents of Sevastopol kept 78.3 billion rubles on accounts in banks (excluding funds in the escrow accounts). Over the year, this indicator has increased by more than 10%.
The attractiveness of deposits remains, despite the fact that banking rates decreased after a decrease in the key rate. Deposits remain a reliable and convenient instrument of savings, because they make it possible to protect their funds and get guaranteed income. At the same time, the amounts of deposits within 1.4 million rubles are insured by the state,-quoted the press service of the acting The head of the department of Sevastopol Southern GU Bank of Russia Vitaly Sidorenko.
The total amount of obligations of the city’s residents to banks increased by almost 25%over a year, while a year earlier the growth was about 31%, and as of July 1, 2025 amounted to 63 billion rubles. The growth dynamics of the increase in mortgage lending slowed: if a year ago this portfolio grew by 38%, then this year — by 25%. By the beginning of the second half of the year, the amount of mortgage loans received by the Sevastopols amounted to 37 billion rubles.
Recall, the key rate is now 18%. Inflation is still significantly higher than the goal, a long period of high bets in the economy will be needed. The Bank of Russia is aimed at returning inflation to 4% in 2026.
