School building No. 37 for primary classes is being built in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On November 14, the Governor of the city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, held a visiting meeting at the site of construction of the building of secondary school No. 37 on October Revolution Avenue, 54.
The contract for construction and installation work was concluded with the contractor in 2020. According to the capital construction department, the deadlines were not met for objective reasons: adjustments were made to the project, there were difficulties with connecting to networks. This year, all issues related to the increase in the cost of the facility have been resolved. Today the work is in active mode. Painting work, façade finishing, installation of a low-voltage system, plumbing work, installation of skirting boards and installation of technological equipment are being completed at the site.
The new building will contain a library with a reading room, a medical unit, sports and recreational facilities, an assembly, gym and choreography halls, classes for music and singing, club rooms, including an art studio; the school will also be equipped with a full-cycle catering unit that runs on raw materials. Sports and playgrounds will be located on the school grounds, and the contractor has also reconstructed the stadium.
I keep this object under constant personal control. It is quite long-suffering, but, nevertheless, we are moving towards completion of the work, and this year we plan to hand it over in order to launch the educational process in January. Now the final stage of finishing is underway, all the heavy dirty work has been completed, the equipment is being installed, and furniture has already begun to be assembled. The building is designed for 450 primary school students. Now we are considering the possibility of organizing a center for additional education here. We plan that not only children from school No. 37 will be able to study here, but also other children from this area who do not have the opportunity to receive additional education– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
In total, 1,350 schoolchildren study at school No. 37. After the building is put into operation, children from grades 1-4 will study in the new building, students from grades 5-11 will continue their studies in the old one.
