“Science has a feminine face.” Sergei Aksyonov presented well-deserved awards to female Crimean scientists

The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in the gala event “Science Has a Woman’s Face,” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences and International Women’s Day.

The head of Crimea inspected the exhibition-presentation “Geniuses of the New Generation”, which was presented by the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Educational Education of the Republic of Crimea “Small Academy of Sciences “Seeker” and the State Budgetary Educational Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Crimean Boarding Gymnasium for Gifted Children”.

Addressing those present during the event, the Head of the Republic noted the importance of scientific and technological progress, which determines the development of the state and society:

Moving forward without science is simply impossible, and even today it is impossible to imagine science without women. The result of their attentiveness, patience and perseverance are a variety of research and achievements that are important and in demand. I am confident that all the goals that our women scientists have set for themselves will definitely be realized.

Sergei Aksyonov also noted that the comfortable conditions in which scientists work are created with the constant support of President Vladimir Putin, federal and republican authorities.

It is also important for us to continue to support our Leader and the Armed Forces, which are fulfilling their combat missions and thanks to which we can live, work and create in peace todayhe added.

It should be noted that in scientific institutions and educational organizations of higher education of the Republic of Crimea, about 1,700 women carry out scientific activities. Scientific research is carried out in the fields of medicine, agriculture, biology, physics, history, archaeology, astrophysics and other fields.

For conscientious work, significant contribution to the scientific, technical, cultural and educational development of the Republic of Crimea and in connection with International Women’s Day, Sergei Aksyonov presented well-deserved awards: Certificates of Honor from the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, Gratitude from the Head of the Republic of Crimea, Distinctive insignia “Watch from the Head of the Republic of Crimea” «
