Security measures in the sphere of circulation of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products have been strengthened in Crimea

In June, in the Republic of Crimea, police officers carried out additional operational and preventive measures aimed at identifying and suppressing offenses in the sphere of illegal circulation of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products.
In the cities and districts of the republic, the police monitored the consumer market. According to the results of the survey of trade and public catering facilities, a number of offenses were identified. In addition, facts of illegal sale of alcohol-containing products by private individuals were established. In total, police officers stopped more than 50 administrative offenses, administrative protocols were drawn up on the revealed facts, and products of dubious quality were confiscated. In a number of shops and cafes, police officers revealed the facts of the circulation of alcoholic products, including beer, beer drinks, vodka and homemade wine, without accompanying documents confirming its legality. In addition, facts of storage of alcoholic products without excise stamps, sale of alcohol without a license and without standard price tags, in violation of the special rules for the retail sale of alcoholic products, were revealed. Offenders brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 14.16 and Art. 14.17 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation— noted in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Crimea.
Citizens who sold moonshine, diluted alcohol and other alcohol-containing products at their place of residence were brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 14.17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
In total, more than 2 thousand liters of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products were seized from illegal circulation.
Taking into account the positive effect of the measures taken, the Crimean police will continue to work to identify and suppress the facts of the illegal sale of alcohol and other products.
