Seedlings of white cabbage are planted in the Crimea

Crimean farmers have started planting white cabbage seedlings. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Andrei Savchuk.
This is a universal vegetable crop, which we plant mainly in seedlings. In total, this year, Crimean agricultural producers allocated more than 800 hectares for white, Beijing and cauliflower. Almost 400 hectares of Crimean fields have already been sown. Now work on planting seedlings of the white head is being carried out at the Pravda farm. Young plants are grown here in greenhouses, and then planted in the field. Area leaders: Krasnogvardeisky, Kirovsky, Krasnoperekopsky districts— the press service quotes the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Crimea.
The Minister of Agriculture of Crimea also said that the employees of this agricultural enterprise plan to plant about 40 hectares of medium, medium-late and late varieties of cabbage this year. The farm also grows beets, carrots, zucchini, pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and cereals. This year, the area for sowing vegetables and potatoes is planned to be approximately doubled to 350 hectares. He also reminded that last year the farmers harvested almost 20,000 tons of cabbage. The area under this crop was about 40 hectares less than in 2023.
