Seizure of a car = return of a gigantic debt on taxes and fines. History in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Bailiffs collected debts on taxes and traffic police fines from a resident of Balaklava in the amount of 403 thousand rubles through the seizure of a car.
Citizen U. — a resident of the city of Balaklava — did not pay debts on tax payments totaling 270 thousand rubles and traffic police fines totaling 40 thousand rubles. As a result, employees of the bailiff department for the Balaklava district of Sevastopol of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol initiated enforcement proceedings against him, which were subsequently combined into consolidated enforcement proceedings. Knowing this, citizen U. did not take any action to repay the existing debts. For the untimely execution of a court decision by the debtor, the bailiffs issued a decree against the latter to collect an enforcement fee in the amount of 93 thousand rubles, but even then citizen U. ignored the legal demands of the enforcement officers. The seizure of bank accounts and temporary restrictions on the right to travel outside Russia did not affect the debtor. In order to encourage citizen U. to promptly pay debts on traffic police fines and tax payments, employees of the bailiff department in the Balaklava district of Sevastopol of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol several times went to the debtor’s residence address, but did not find him there . Nevertheless, citizen U. did not manage to hide for long— note the press service of the GUFSSP of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
After a short time, during a raid, on September 6, 2023, bailiffs, together with traffic police officers, the debtor’s vehicle from Balaklava, a Mercedes Benz 350, was identified in the traffic and stopped. After which, the department employees drew up an inventory of the seizure of the vehicle, seized it and placed it in a special storage area, warning citizen U. that the seized vehicle would be transferred for evaluation and further sale to pay off existing debts. Realizing the seriousness of the situation and not wanting to lose his beloved vehicle, the next day the debtor found the necessary amount, paying off the debt on taxes and traffic police fines, taking into account the enforcement fee, in full, transferring the funds to the department’s deposit account.
