Sentence handed down in criminal case of espionage against Ukrainian citizen

The state prosecution in the criminal case was supported by the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
The video shows Ukrainian citizen Irina Gorobtsova, found guilty of espionage (Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Over the course of a year (from February 2022 to March 2023), she collected strategically important data on units of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kherson region and transmitted it to an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. This information could have been used to launch fire strikes on the locations of the Russian Armed Forces and the Russian National Guard.
The actions of the convicted woman were identified and stopped by employees of the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The court agreed with the position of the state prosecutor and sentenced the guilty party to 10 years and 6 months of imprisonment to be served in a general regime penal colony. The state prosecution in the criminal case was supported by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
