Sentence to a resident of the Chernomorsky district — sentenced to 5 years for illegal sale of drugs

By the Chernomorsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea, citizen B., sentenced to 5 years in prison with a sentence in a strict regime correctional colony, for committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs committed in a significant amount).
According to the materials of the criminal case, B. collected leaves and inflorescences from a hemp bush, dried them, packaged cannabis (marijuana) drugs in plastic bags, which he periodically treated another person. During the search of B., 13 packets of narcotic substances were found, which he illegally kept at his place of residence, with the aim of selling them. However, he could not bring his criminal intent to the end, since the drug was seized by law enforcement officers— reported the press service of the court.
During the consideration of the criminal case, the defendant partially admitted his guilt in the charge brought against him, since, according to him, he had no intent to sell the drug he had, he prepared bags of cannabis for himself.
The verdict has not entered into force.
