Sergei Aksenov calls for increasing the efficiency of agricultural consumer cooperatives
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Head of the Republic of Crimea took part in an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, during which current problems and tasks of the agro-industrial complex were discussed. Sergei Aksyonov expressed gratitude to agricultural workers for their conscientious and hard work, thanks to which food security is ensured in Crimea.
Without specialists from the agro-industrial complex, our movement forward and development would simply be impossible. Over the past 10 years, much attention has been paid to the agricultural sector with the direct support of our President. We continue to work in this direction. Now our main strategic goal is to fully provide Crimeans with high-quality and affordable agricultural products of our own production, — said the Head of Crimea.
According to Sergei Aksenov, the republic still depends on supplies of milk and dairy products, eggs and meat from other regions.
Of course, this also affects the pricing policy. I consider it necessary to organize in Crimea the production of products that we lack. Pay attention to cattle breeding and potato growing. It is also necessary to restore the production of fruits and vegetables and grapescalled the Head of the Republic.
Sergey Aksenov instructed the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea to strengthen interaction with the Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea on the issue of pricing of food products. According to the Head of the Republic, there are no justified reasons for a significant increase in food prices, and their increase is often speculative in nature.
In addition, the Head of the Republic set the task for the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea to resolve problematic issues related to the activities of agricultural cooperatives.
Agricultural cooperation is necessary both for citizens running subsidiary plots and for the economy of the republic as a whole. This is one of the guarantees that the village will continue to develop. Our task is to give villagers the opportunity to freely sell their products and receive additional income. It is necessary to visit all municipalities, communicate with the chairmen and members of cooperatives in order to determine priority steps and support measures. One of the ultimate goals is to increase production volumes and create new jobs, – the Head of Crimea gave instructions.
In turn, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Denis Kratyuk informed that there are 73 agricultural consumer cooperatives in the republic. However, 28 of them are not currently operating. Specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture of Crimea are planning individual meetings with the management of SPoKs in order to make a decision on the continuation of their activities.
During his report, Denis Kratyuk also said that about 2.4 billion rubles were invested in the agricultural sector this year.
Today, 22 modern fruit and vegetable storage facilities operate in Crimea, storing 66 thousand tons of plant products. In addition, there are no problems with agricultural machinery in the republic; in particular, the supply of tractors is complete.
It is noted that livestock farming remains one of the most promising agricultural sectors. Thus, according to the minister, among other things, it is planned to build a poultry house for 220 thousand birds in the Saki region, which will increase the level of egg supply in the republic to 80%. The cost of the project will be about 500 million rubles. At the same time, to increase the level of chicken meat supply to 100%, the construction of one complex is required. Two more dairy complexes of 3 thousand heads each will help increase the republic’s supply of milk and dairy products to 50%.
Denis Kratyuk emphasized that Crimea has enough capacity to process any product; the problem is precisely the lack of raw materials.
Also during the event, issues of expanding the range of measures to support the agro-industrial complex at the federal and republican levels, involving lands in agricultural circulation and increasing productivity were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk, Chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea on Agrarian Policy and Rural Development Vasily Rogatin, representatives of subordinate organizations and agricultural enterprises.
